The truth about Tory cuts to Salford

Failed government austerity measures has meant a 42.4% cut in government grants to Salford, this means £83.4 million taken from the people of Salford between 2010 and 2017.

That’s £753 from every household.

And earlier this year, the government announced a £300 million transitional fund for local authorities – then handed nearly all of it to Tory councils. 85% of the additional money will go to wealthy Conservative-run areas and barely 6% to Labour-run areas, with Salford receiving nothing.
