A few days ago I started thinking of a number of ideas for resolutions for 2012, to write a list out, and so I could just tick them off as I achieve them, and then throw the list away once completed. Or, as more often happens, I’d lose the list on the 2nd January and then forget what I’d written down.
Then I came across this quote from Mark Twain, and I felt inspired to adopt the last 3 words as my New Year’s Resolution for 2012.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
So I have committed myself to remember these last three words, and try to make this my approach to life throughout the coming year.
Whatever comes my way throughout 2012, I just want to grab every opportunity, and make the most of it.
Can you sum up your New Year’s Resolutions in just a couple of words? Let me know below.
